Medikal, also known as ‘Mdk’ or ‘Embo mi din mame’, officially known as Samuel Adu Frimpong, is a talented Ghanaian musician in the genres of Hip Hop and Afrobeats.

He was born to Portia Lamptey and James Frimpong.He was raised in Sowutuom, in Accra on 1, April, 1991. He attended Odorgonor Senior High School where he obtained his senior high education certificate.

He has been signed to AMG Business. AMG Beyond Control. Prior to moving into the music industry, Medikal was a professional footballer for Hasaacas, of the Ghana Premier league in Second in their second division times.

Medikal, as he is known professionally as a musician, as a result of his previous performances in making melodies concerning professionals in the health sectors like doctors, surgeons, nurses, and the like.

In October 2021, he was arrested for brandishing a gun on social media and was charged for unlawful display of arms and ammunition and pleaded not guilty. After which he was remanded to prison custody for five days by an Accra Circuit court. At the hearing, on October 26, after being remanded for five days, he was granted bail to the tune of a cool GHC 100,000.

In 2018, he partook in the Westwood show in Ghana.
