Born Joseph Miguera, widely acknowledged in the Ugandan musical scene as Phina, hailed as Uganda’s Shakira, is a musical starlet seeking to make it in the entire African music circle through the ferrying of emotionally ravaging and mind blowing melodies in order to upsurge her fan base across the world.
Early Life
Phina, the forth of five children was born to Francis Kiwanuka and Annet Komugisha in 1984, in kawaala in Kampala. She attended Namirebe and Namirembe Infants Kindergarten for her primary education. She later continued to St.Andrews Kaggwa and Daniel Secondary School and later Springfield College for her O’ Levels(UCE) and A Levels (UACE). She has a son but the father of the child has not been disclosed.
Musical Career
Phina started her music career in 2007 after completing her six senior six. She was among the three chosen as dancers for Diamonds Ensemble Band which was announced on radio stations in her motherland. He sings like Bampassude and Gyobera earned her popular acclaim in the African music industry.
