Teezee- A Feather of Fulfillment

Teni Zacchaeus Jr, better known by his stage name, Teezee is a British-Nigerian singer, songwriter, rapper as well as a record executive. He delivers his music in the genres of Afrofusion , Hip Hop as well as Alté. Teezee is best known as the pioneer of of Alté, and credited for the crossover success of Odumodublvck’s single, Declan Rice.

Early Life and Musical Beginning

Teezee was born Mr. Teni Zacchaeus Sr. and Mrs. Yewande Zacchaeus.

Teezee as he is popularly noted was born in Lagos, in Nigeria and raised between Lagos and London, in England.

In year 9, Teni began making music while still schooling at Malvern College, in Marlvern , Worcestershire, England with BOJ ad Fresh L.

He credits his dad, Teni Zacchaeus Snr., as the man behind his music education while growing up. His father ran night clubs in Lagos so he had to do something greater than that.

At the beginning of his career, he was previously fondly called Teniola Zacchaeus, or better the Fresh Prince of LasGidi.

Career Success

The genre on which he is hailed as a pioneer has been successful with a number of artists making it into the American and British Charts. On 13, June, 2023, the recording academy added a new category titled Best African Music Performance, in which the genres eligible for the category included Alté.

Impact

On 24, June, 2022, the initial release of the Nigerian film, Glamour Girls, a sequel to 1994’s Glamour Girls, features Alté songs on it’s soundtrack.

Endorsements

In 2017, Teezee signed a brand ambassador deal with James Irish Whiskey in Nigeria.

Personal Life

Teezee is the brother of the Nigerian female fashion entrepreneur, Iretidayo Zacchaeus.

Teezee and British music executive, Grace Ladoja are partners. In 2021, they announced the birth of their first child.

Teezee is indeed a starlight to be looked up to; an icon to behold. As a creative thinker with a business oriented mindset, he has as his quest the showcasing of talents of craftly endowed young people especially in the music industry.
