Born in Ajegunle in Lagos, Nigeria and Kwara state, Lyta was a member of lle Kewu, a music group at his local mosque. Lyta had a heightened emotionality towards music and always delivers his piece from the best version of himself to make it known that he lives music makes him.

Record Label Issues
In 2019, due to some inconveniences and misunderstanding of contractual agreements, he took a bold step by exiting YBNL. This led to Olamide unfollowing him on Instagram. Lyta later revealed that he never had a written contract with YBNL although he was paid between 50,000 and 80,000 for events.
After exiting YBNL, he was signed to another record label, Doro Musik Gang and released the “Killertunes” track.
In 2020, Lyta signed a record deal with Marlian Records, a record label owned by Naira Marley. He released his first single titled Hold Me Down (Omo Gidi).
