Lasmid Nathaniel Owusu, better known as Lasmid, a musical starlet hailing from one of Africa’s musical hubs, Ghana, specifically Takoradi. He stepped into the limelight by becoming the winner of MTN Hit maker Season 8, showcasing his unique talents with the dominance in genres like Hip hop, Hip life, Afrobeat, and many more.
Lasmid was born to Mr. and Mrs. Owusu. His educational background is quite gloomy as he reveals during one of the interviews with Deloris Frimpong Manso, a socialite and a media personality who brings to live topical issues concerning entertainment, and well noted as Delay.
During the session, he disclosed to Delay that he had to repeat primary school thrice to be able to excel academically. According to Lasmid, his poor performance was solely due to the divorce of his parents. Initially, he attended a nearby school, at Dunkwao, as a result of his poor performance, he had to be enrolled into another school at Wassa, Akropong Primary School, where he had to toe the line by moving his best feet onwards in order to ace out his previous performances.
Before age ten, he lived with his grandmother due to the circumstances at hand since the whereabouts of his mom wasn’t disclosed to him. Five years later he moved to live with his mom so as to establish the mother and son relationship.
Lasmid attended the then, Takoradi Technical Institute (TTI) currently Takoradi Technical University (TTU). Afterwards he made a move to contest for MTN Hit maker with which he was crowned winner in Season 8 with a cash prize of GH 120,000 alongside a headset.
He was later recruited By Kaywa after the stunning performances which made Kaywa grow fond of him and admired him so much that he added him to his record label, Highly Spiritual music for the genres of Rap, Afro beat and Afropop and Hip hop.

- On May 3, 2021, he released Sika with Dead Peepol.
- He released Father, on August 11, 2021, with Mr. Drew.
- On November 5, 2021, he released Atele, without featuring anyone.
- He collaborate with Kuami Eugene to release the remix of the song Sika on March 11, 2022.
- In 2022, Naira Marley, a notable Nigerian Musician, showed interest in Lasmid and added him to his own Record Label.
- He collaborated with Derrick Sarfo Kantanka, better known by his stage name as Amerado, a Ghanaian musician in the same genre as Lasmid, also the VGMA winner for the Best Rapper of the Year at the expense of the King of Raps, Sarkodie, on the song Grace which was released on August 19, 2022.
- On October 16, 2022, he released a hit song featuring YPee on the song Ewuraba.
- On December 16, 2022, he released Running, a very sensational song which earned him a great fan base.
- In total Lasmid has seven tracks and has appeared on four songs.
He is unmarried. Nevertheless, he has withheld a very interesting topic from the public, whether or not he is dating. Despite being questioned severally, he prefers he keeps it sealed from the public as it is his personal life.
