Jim Chuchu, as recognized in the entertainment space not only in Kenya but also in Africa, is a singer, songwriter, videographer, photographer as well as a visual artist. He came to stardom as a member of the Kenyan music group, Just A Band, which he co-founded with Blinky Bill and the director of Kenyan LGBT film, Stories of Our Lives.
Early Life and Musical Beginning
Born on 7 August 1982 in Nairobi, Kenya. He offered telecommunications while at college. Chuchu began his musical career as a graphic designer working as an advertiser but quit his job in order to become a freelance graphic designer in 2006.
Musical Career
In 2008, Chuchu co-founded Just A Band together with fellow founders, Blinky Bill, and Dan Mull, who he met while studying at Kenyattta University.
Chuchu co-founded the Nest Collective, a multidisciplinary art space and collective in 2021.
